As one of the world’s most significant undeveloped iron ore deposits, the Simandou Project is rapidly emerging as a new model for international mining cooperation. Developed in full alignment with internationally recognized ESG, IFC and ESIA standards, and supported by China’s advanced engineering, construction, and equipment capabilities, the project features over 600 km of new multi-purpose railway and extensive port infrastructure. Once operational, Simandou will enable up to 120 million tonnes of iron ore exports annually, delivering both global industrial value and long-term socio-economic benefits for Guinea.

TONLY Heavy Industries is playing a vital role in this landmark project.
In 2024, TONLY’s TL885A off-road wide-body dump trucks were deployed during the project’s high-intensity construction phase. Operating around the clock, the TL885A demonstrated outstanding reliability and efficiency in overburden removal and mining tasks, becoming an essential asset for project progress.

Looking ahead, the DTE145 pure-electric 91-ton mining truck will support Simandou’s transition into large-scale, green production. Equipped with a 620 kW dual-motor system, 35% higher torque, an intelligent transmission, and a liquid-cooled battery system capable of stable operation from –35°C to 45°C, the DTE145 delivers zero-emission, high-performance hauling ideally suited for the region’s tropical conditions.

From early construction to future operations, TONLY continues to serve the Simandou Project with customized, scenario-driven mining equipment solutions. As a pioneer in wide-body dump truck technology, the company remains committed to advancing green, intelligent, and sustainable mining on the global stage.
